Hard at work creating more business cartoons.....
About Bill Monroe Cartoonist:
Bill Monroe is a nationally published humorous illustrator and cartoonist whose work appears in major magazines in the United States. He also has by-lines in various trade journals and illustrates advertising for many Fortune 500 corporations.
He received his art training at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. After completing his art studies, he built a construction business while pursuing his love of humorous illustration. He had his first cartoon published in 1960.
As a freelance artist, Monroe was involved with the Jupiter Missile Program in Huntsville, Alabama. For his illustration work on this project, he received a commendation from the President of the United States.
In 1972, Monroe left the business world and devoted himself full time to humorous illustration. As his own writer, he knows that a skillful cartoonist takes an idea and heightens the humor with effective characterization and expression, and points up the focal point of the humor with a good composition.
Monroe's ink line drawings, enhanced with watercolor, depict, through visual humor the human condition and frailties common to us all.
